The wine is soft and fruit-forward, showcasing ripe blackberries, cherries, and plum, accented with notes of vanilla, caramel, and a touch of oak spice. Recent vintages reviewed by Wine Enthusiast highlight rich vanilla and caramel on the nose alongside ripe cassis, with warm, stewed blackberry on the palate and a candied oak finish. Older vintages have shown flavors of red cherry, hickory smoke, dried herbs, and baking spices.
