Sourced from organic tea gardens in Japan, the tea leaves are carefully grown, harvested when lush and bright green, then gently steamed, rolled, and dried following traditional Japanese methods. This minimal processing preserves the distinctive flavors, vibrant color, and natural aroma of the tea leaves.

The blend combines Sencha, Japan's most popular green tea with an herbaceous flavor, and finely milled Matcha powder made from specially harvested leaves that adds a rich, velvety taste and deeper flavor complexity. Each box contains 100 individually wrapped tea bags, with each bag weighing 1.5 grams. The tea is USDA Organic certified and a product of Japan.

Suitable for both hot and cold brewing, the premium nylon tea bags allow for optimal water flow during steeping. For hot tea, pour water at 176°F to 185°F over one tea bag and steep for 20 to 30 seconds, then shake the bag in the cup to release the matcha from the outer envelope into the tea before removing and enjoying. For cold brewing, add one tea bag per 8 ounces of cold water and steep for 2 to 3 minutes, which produces lower caffeine content. The result is a delicious organic green tea with a balanced flavor profile, subtle sweetness, and the vibrant taste characteristic of authentic Japanese green tea.
