McConnell's 5 Year Old Irish Whisky is a blended Irish whiskey first established in Belfast in 1776 by brothers John and James McConnell, making it one of the oldest whisky brands from Ireland. After going dormant in 1958, the brand was relaunched in 2020 by Conecuh Brands. The whisky is produced at Great Northern Distillery in County Louth, Ireland, and is a blend of Irish malt and grain whiskies aged for five years in American oak ex-bourbon barrels. It is bottled at 42% ABV and comes in a 1-liter bottle.

On the nose, it offers light citrus notes, banana esters, creamy vanilla custard, toffee, and peppered spice. The palate delivers earthy fruits, butterscotch, honey, and vanilla sweetness from the bourbon casks, along with white pepper and oak woodiness. The finish is medium with butterscotch, brown sugar, cinnamon, and charred oak notes. It has a delicate, slightly creamy mouthfeel with a subtle oiliness that gently coats the tongue.
