Mare Island Brewing Co. Hydraulic Sandwich IPA is an American IPA brewed in Vallejo, California. This year-round offering comes in a 4-pack of 16 oz cans at 7.1% ABV and 52 IBUs. It is an extremely balanced IPA brewed with premium hops, with the malt character keeping the hops in check. Tasting notes include piney, citrus, and woody flavors with a clean, dry finish.

The beer's name pays homage to the Mare Island Naval Shipyard, which at its WWII peak employed over 40,000 civilian workers known as "Yardbirds." These shipbuilders and tradesmen affectionately referred to beer as a "hydraulic sandwich" during their liquid lunches.
