Barons de Rothschild Brut Champagne is a prestigious non-vintage Champagne from France, produced through a historic collaboration between the three branches of the renowned Rothschild family — the first joint Champagne project uniting these legendary wine dynasties. The house partners with traditional Champagne-making families whose expertise has been refined over generations, combining the finest Rothschild terroirs with time-honored Champagne craftsmanship.
This exceptional cuvée is a complex blend of 60% Chardonnay sourced primarily from the Côte des Blancs Grands Crus and Premiers Crus, and 40% Pinot Noir drawn from the premier villages of Verzenay, Aÿ, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, and Ambonnay. Reserve wines account for up to 40% of the blend — an exceptional hallmark of quality and consistency — with low dosage and at least six months of aging following disgorgement.
The wine presents a bright, clear pale gold color with very fine, persistent bubbles. The nose opens with the freshness of Chardonnay, offering aromas of white flesh fruits such as pears and nectarines alongside ethereal floral notes of peony from the Pinot Noir. A second nose reveals greater complexity, with spice notes and aromas of dried apricots and almonds. On the palate, it is round and generous with lovely verticality — offering crisp nectarine, honey, saffron, and a touch of pepper, finishing elegantly with fine bitters.
Rated 93 points by Wine Enthusiast, 92 points by Wine Spectator, and 92 points by James Suckling. Ideal served as an aperitif or paired with gently fried sea scallops, shellfish, rockfish, risotto, fine white meat, or a farmhouse Brie de Meaux cheese.
