Birichino St. Georges Pinot Noir is a California Central Coast red wine crafted by Birichino, the boutique Santa Cruz winery founded by Alex Krause and John Locke in 2008. "Saint Georges" is a proprietary cuvée name — not a single vineyard — drawing primarily from George Besson's decades-old Pinot Noir vines planted at the foot of the Santa Cruz Mountains, blended with select blocks from the surrounding region. The fruit grows just below the elevation threshold for the official Santa Cruz Mountains AVA, allowing the winemakers to craft a Central Coast appellation bottling of exceptional character and value.

The wine is fermented with native yeasts and aged in neutral oak barriques and demi-muids, preserving the grape's natural aromatics. The nose offers chaparral, wild herb, dark cranberry, and baked pastry, while the palate is silky and precise with flavors of dark plum and cranberry, a subtle gamey savory edge, and a juicy, angular finish with impressive length.
