Point Reyes TomaProvence is a semi-hard artisan cheese crafted by Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Company in Northern California. It builds on the rich, buttery character of their classic Toma with an infusion of Herbs de Provence — rosemary, basil, marjoram, savory, and wild thyme — delivering a savory, Mediterranean-inspired flavor profile with a creamy, smooth texture and a waxed natural rind.
Made from pasteurized, rBST-free cows' milk using microbial (vegetarian) rennet, the cheese is aged a minimum of 90 days and is certified gluten free. At Costco it is sold as a random-weight deli item at a price per pound, typically in approximately 0.83 lb pieces. The cheese has earned numerous awards including a 2025 California State Fair Double Gold, a 2024 California State Fair Gold, and a 2023 American Cheese Society First Place. It pairs beautifully with olives, a fresh baguette, charcuterie boards, and a buttery Chardonnay, and melts well in omelets, grilled sandwiches, and warm dishes.
