Vieille France Brut is a non-vintage Champagne produced by Maison Charles de Cazanove, a historic Champagne house founded in 1811 in the Côtes des Blancs region of France. The "Vieille France" name — meaning "Old France" — reflects the house's deep-rooted winemaking heritage within the prestigious Champagne AOC appellation.
The wine pours a medium gold with fine, persistent bubbles and aromas of toast, fresh bread, and lees, indicative of quality aging on the yeast. On the palate it delivers bright citrus, green apple, ripe apricot, and peach, with a pleasant touch of nuttiness and almond at mid-palate. Good acidity and a creamy texture carry through to a long, satisfying finish. Alcohol: 12% by volume. Presented in a distinctive short, heavy 750ml bottle.
Awarded 92 points by Wine Spectator and 90 points by CostcoWineBlog.com (a Costco Wine Top Pick), this Champagne offers outstanding value at Costco pricing well below its typical retail of $40–$42.
