Grattamacco Bolgheri Superiore is the flagship red wine from one of Tuscany's most storied estates, founded in 1977 as the second winery to emerge from the prestigious Bolgheri appellation—following only the legendary Sassicaia. Produced by Collemassari S.p.A. from organically farmed vineyards averaging 25 years old, this wine exemplifies the elegance and character of the Bolgheri coastal terroir in Toscana, Italy.

The blend is composed of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, and 15% Sangiovese, fermented in open-top oak vats with manual punch-downs for slow, thorough extraction of fully mature tannins. The wine is then aged 18 months in new and used French barriques before bottling. The result is a structured yet graceful red with aromas of blackcurrant, plum, cherry, Mediterranean herbs, lavender, mocha, and hints of campfire ember. On the palate, it delivers broad minerality, generous tannins, and a persistent finish with crisp acidity that supports significant aging potential through 2044 and beyond. Alcohol: 14.5% ABV.
