Fresh Wild Coho Salmon Fillet is a sustainably caught Pacific salmon sourced from Canadian waters. Also known as Silver salmon, Coho is prized for its mild, slightly sweet flavor and vibrant orange-pink flesh, making it one of the most versatile Pacific salmon species. Sold per pound, this skin-on fillet is cut fresh and ideal for a wide range of cooking preparations.
Coho salmon can be baked, grilled, pan-seared, broiled, poached, or air-fried. Its moderate fat content makes it forgiving to cook and less prone to drying out than leaner species like Sockeye. For optimal texture, cook to an internal temperature of 125-135°F; the FDA recommends a minimum of 145°F. As a wild-caught fish, Coho delivers a firmer texture and more complex flavor compared to farmed Atlantic salmon.
Wild Coho salmon is an excellent source of high-quality protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and key nutrients including vitamin B12, vitamin D, selenium, and potassium. Its omega-3 content supports cardiovascular and cognitive health, making it a nutritious addition to a balanced diet.
