A beautifully expressive cool-climate Pinot Noir from Brewer-Clifton, sourced from the prestigious Sta. Rita Hills appellation in Santa Barbara County, California. Founded in 1996 by winemaker Greg Brewer, the estate is dedicated to expressing the geographic, geologic, and climatic uniqueness of this finite stretch of coastal land.
Greg Brewer's winemaking philosophy emphasizes removing the winemaker's signature to allow the vineyard's voice to be the overriding expression. The Sta. Rita Hills appellation benefits from cool ocean breezes that extend the growing season and produce wines of distinctive character and finesse.
This Pinot Noir offers an elegantly complex aromatic profile of red fruits, pomegranate, strawberry, sage, and eucalyptus, with layers of warm spices, vanilla, black pepper, and natural minerality. On the palate, flavors of fig and cherry are supported by a bright, well-balanced acidity and refined structure. The wine evolves beautifully in the glass and is best enjoyed after decanting. The 2022 vintage earned a 93-point score from Wine Spectator.
