This assortment includes two popular ornamental dogwood shrubs sold in #3 (3-gallon) containers: Prairie Fire Dogwood (Cornus alba 'Prairie Fire') and Red Twig Dogwood (Cornus sericea). Both are multi-season shrubs prized for their striking visual interest throughout the year.

Prairie Fire Dogwood is a compact deciduous shrub known for its vivid orange-red stems that become especially vibrant in winter after the leaves drop. In spring and summer it produces creamy white flower clusters and attractive foliage that turns deep burgundy-red in fall. It typically reaches 5–8 feet tall and wide and thrives in USDA hardiness zones 3–7. It tolerates wet soils, urban conditions, and moderate drought once established.

Red Twig Dogwood is a classic native shrub celebrated for its bright red bark, which provides bold winter color in the landscape. It produces clusters of small white flowers in late spring and white to bluish-white berries that attract birds. The foliage turns reddish-purple in autumn. It grows 6–8 feet tall and wide, performing best in full sun to partial shade in zones 3–8. Both varieties are low-maintenance, cold-hardy, and excellent for mass plantings, hedgerows, rain gardens, and wildlife habitat.
