This 2 lb bag contains 100% Specialty Grade Arabica beans, with only 5 to 10% of the world's Arabica beans meeting the exacting standards required for this designation.

The coffee features tasting notes of deep chocolate with a fresh vanilla almond aroma, delivering a perfectly balanced cup with no bitter aftertaste. The beans are grown by family farmers who are members of Cecanor and Bosques Verdes, two cooperatives of small-scale coffee producers working together in the lush mountains of northern Peru. These farmers produce coffee under the dense shade of guava, acacias, orange, and banana trees, stewarding the surrounding mountain ecosystem.

Joffrey's works with Disney and Conservation International to support the Alto Mayo Protected Forest Project in the Amazon rainforest region of San Martin, Peru. The unique soil, partly nourished by the Mayo river, gives these exceptional beans their distinctive flavor profile.
