"The Blues" Weeping Colorado Blue Spruce (Picea pungens 'The Blues') is a striking ornamental conifer prized for its brilliant silver-blue needles and dramatic weeping form. Sold in a #15 nursery container, this is a well-established specimen ready for planting in the landscape.

This unique cultivar features strongly pendulous branches that cascade downward while the main leader wanders upward or outward, creating an irregular and sculptural silhouette. No two plants develop exactly alike, making each one a one-of-a-kind landscape specimen. Young plants can be staked to guide the leader upward for a more vertical weeping form, or left unstaked to spread as a wide, ground-hugging mounding plant.

Hardy in USDA Zones 3–8, "The Blues" thrives in full sun and tolerates light shade. It adapts to most well-drained soil types and, once established, is moderately drought tolerant. Typical growth rate is up to 12 inches per year, reaching approximately 5–6 feet tall and wide after 10 years, with a mature size of 5–10 feet in both height and spread.
