Fresh Is Best IPA is a seasonal fresh-hop ale from Crux Fermentation Project, a craft brewery based in Bend, Oregon. Each August, the brewers travel over the Cascades to Goschie Farm to pick up the season's first fresh Centennial hops at peak harvest, then brew the beer immediately to capture a character unavailable with dried or pellet hops.

The result is a 6.9% ABV IPA with 50 IBUs and a vivid citrus and pine profile. The fresh hops lend a green, grassy brightness alongside notes of tropical fruit, ripe pear, and a soft sweetness from the malt backbone. It pours a clear golden-orange with a light white head and a smooth, medium body that makes it an ideal transition beer from summer into fall.

This Costco pack contains four 16 oz cans, offering a generous serving of one of the Pacific Northwest's most anticipated annual releases. Ratings on Untappd average 3.8 out of 5 from nearly 1,000 check-ins, and BeerAdvocate scores it an 85.
