Kōloa Kauaʻi Coconut Rum is a premium Hawaiian spirit crafted by the Kōloa Rum Company in Kalaheo, Kauaʻi, Hawaii. Distilled, blended, and bottled on-island, this rum is made from pure cane sugar using a vintage 1,210-gallon steam-powered copper pot still. The water is sourced from the ancient Mount Waiʻaleʻale and filtered through volcanic strata into underground aquifers, giving the spirit its distinctive island character. The rum presents as a white spirit with a hint of Chantilly green opalescence, even viscosity, and well-defined sparkling legs. On the nose, it offers intense coconut aromatics with light hints of roasted coconut and piña colada undertones. The palate opens with a pleasantly dry entry at 80 proof, followed by flavors of baby coconut flesh, finishing with toasted coconut, hints of fresh lime zest, and a touch of caramelized pineapple.
