AIX Rosé is a Provençal rosé wine produced by Maison Saint Aix, sourced from the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence AOP in southern France. The estate sits at approximately 1,400 feet elevation near the Sainte-Victoire mountain, one of the highest-elevation domaines in the appellation. The 75-hectare estate is sustainably and organically farmed on clay, limestone, and mineral-rich sandy soils.
The blend is composed of 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, and 20% Cinsault, crafted through direct pressing with cold soaking at 46°F followed by temperature-controlled fermentation at 57°F for 12 to 16 days. The wine is aged entirely in stainless steel, preserving freshness and fruit character without oak influence. The result is a pale salmon-pink wine with a dry, refined finish.
On the nose, the wine offers clementine peel, lime zest, white grapefruit, fresh strawberries, white peach, and spring flowers. The palate is light to medium-bodied and silky, with flavors of watermelon, peach, tangerine, green apple, and a distinctive chalky minerality. The finish is dry and long, with notes of white pepper and mineral precision. It pairs well with grilled fish, seafood, poultry, salads, sushi, and light Asian cuisine.
AIX Rosé has received consistent critical acclaim, including 90 points from Wine Enthusiast and Wine Spectator, 91 points from James Suckling, and 92 points from the Tasting Panel. It is imported in the United States by Kobrand Wine & Spirits.
