This wine is a blend of primarily Cabernet Sauvignon along with Petite Sirah, Malbec, and Petit Verdot from Southern Monterey County in California's Central Coast region. The wine is aged in oak for a total of 10 months, with a portion aged in new American oak bourbon barrels selected from a renowned Kentucky distillery for at least 3 months.

Deep ruby in color, the wine opens with rich, concentrated aromas of ripe dark cherry, blackberry, blackberry cobbler, graham cracker, brown sugar, vanilla, milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, and smoke. On the palate, the wine is smooth and tasty with prominent vanilla notes alongside flavors of blackberry, black cherry, praline, caramel, vanilla custard, mocha, licorice, cola, cinnamon, and clove. The bourbon barrel aging adds nuances of vanilla, brown sugar, and toasty oak. The wine has 4.0 g/L of residual sugar and 14.5% alcohol. It finishes dry, grippy, and long.
