Langlois-Château Crémant de Loire Brut is a prestigious sparkling wine from the Loire Valley of France, produced by the historic house of Langlois-Château, founded in 1912 by Edouard Langlois and Jeanne Château. In 1973, the renowned Bollinger Champagne family became investors, bringing additional expertise and elevating production standards even further.
This Crémant is crafted using the traditional méthode champenoise — the same labor-intensive process used for Champagne — with secondary fermentation occurring in the bottle. The blend of approximately 60% Chenin Blanc, 20% Chardonnay, and 20% Cabernet Franc is hand-harvested and gently pressed to preserve freshness. The wine meets or exceeds the strict standards of the Crémant de Loire appellation, delivering a finesse comparable to high-quality Champagne at a fraction of the price.
Pale yellow in color with a persistent fine mousse, the wine offers a complex nose of quince, peach, and grapefruit, with flavors of baked pear, brioche, ginger, and citrus on the palate. It finishes with a taut, mineral character and a refreshing tang. An excellent aperitif or pairing for seafood, soft cheeses, and light appetizers.
