Tabalí Vetas Blancas Reserva Especial Sauvignon Blanc is produced by Viña Tabalí, a pioneering winery established in 2002 in Chile's Limarí Valley by founder Guillermo Luksic. The Limarí Valley is one of Chile's northernmost wine regions and sits near the UNESCO-recognized Fray Jorge National Park, earning a growing reputation as one of the country's most exciting wine-producing areas.
This Sauvignon Blanc is part of the Vetas Blancas range, sourced from the coastal Talinay Vineyard located just 12 kilometers from the Pacific Ocean. The vineyard benefits from the daily Camanchaca sea fog, which moderates temperatures and prolongs the growing season. The soils are characterized by porous, fractured limestone—a geological rarity in Chile formed from ancient marine terraces—promoting excellent drainage and imparting a distinctive mineral character to the wines.
Crafted without oak aging, using only stainless steel fermentation and tank aging, this wine preserves bright primary fruit and aromatics. The result is a fresh, aromatic Sauvignon Blanc with lively acidity, notes of citrus and green herbs, and a mineral, saline finish that reflects the unique coastal Limarí terroir. The wine has received scores of 96 points from Descorchados and 93 points from The Wine Advocate. Each 750 ml bottle is packaged in cases of 12.
