Lavau Côtes du Rhône Villages Rouge is a classic red wine from the Southern Rhône Valley of France, produced under the prestigious Côtes du Rhône Villages AOC appellation. This approachable and food-friendly red is crafted from an equal blend of Grenache Noir and Syrah sourced from select parcels across the Southern Rhône's best terroirs, stretching from Montélimar to Nîmes.

The wine is aged for 12 months using a split technique — half in stainless steel vats to preserve bright fruit character, and half in 450-liter oak barrels that were previously used for one or two vintages to impart subtle structure without overwhelming oak influence. The result is a medium-bodied red with aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant, and anise, with a touch of earthy spice. On the palate it is round and supple with ripe, plush tannins and flavors of dark fruit, baked plum, and warm spices, finishing with a warming dry finish. Alcohol content is 14%.

This wine pairs well with grilled meats, roasted lamb, stuffed bell peppers, and Mediterranean-style dishes. It is best enjoyed slightly cool and can benefit from a brief decant to open up its aromas.
