Argentiera Bolgheri Superiore is a prestigious Super Tuscan red wine from Tenuta Argentiera, an 85-hectare estate located in the southern Bolgheri DOC region of Tuscany. This wine represents a classic Bordeaux-style blend typically composed of approximately 45-50% Merlot, 44-48% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 6-10% Cabernet Franc, though the exact proportions vary by vintage.

The estate sits on the hills of Donoratico, with vineyards rising up to 200 meters above sea level, benefiting from consistent sea breezes from the nearby Tyrrhenian Sea and significant day-night temperature variations during ripening. Since 2016, Tenuta Argentiera has been owned by Austrian entrepreneur Stanislaus Turnauer, with winemaking led by Nicolò Carrera under consultation from Bordeaux expert Stephane Derencourt.

The wine is aged in French oak barriques and offers complex aromas of blackcurrant, black cherry, blackberry, cedar, licorice, chocolate, tobacco, vanilla, and black pepper. On the palate, it delivers black currants, plums, cooked cherries, spices, cedar, leather, chocolates, and peppercorn with a full body, medium acidity, round tannins, and a long finish. The alcohol content is typically 14-14.5% by volume.
