This Châteauneuf-du-Pape is created by third-generation winemaker Guillaume Gonnet, who has owned and operated his family's Châteauneuf-du-Pape estate since 2006. The wine unites the four terroirs of Châteauneuf-du-Pape including river stones, limestones, clay and sand. The blend combines 70% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre, and 10% Cinsault, creating a Southern Rhône wine with bright mixed berry aromas and deep, silky tannins.

The wine features excellent complexity with red and black currant, red cherry, licorice, nicely integrated spice, touches of flowers and herbs, and hints of meaty notes. On the palate, blackberry, black cherry, leather, licorice, spice, olive notes and meatiness combine seamlessly. A touch of earthy character mid-palate leads into a delicious, dry, grippy and savory finish. The wine has a long finish with notes of strawberry syrup blended with spices.

This vintage is ready to drink immediately or can be cellared for years to come. The wine is produced and aged by Guillaume Gonnet and contains 15% alcohol. Guillaume and his Australian wife Kelly are fascinated by the notion of terroir, particularly how Southern Rhône varieties express themselves in diverse terroir throughout the South of France and around the world. The winery's organically farmed vineyards are symbolized by the Robin, a small bird embodying dreams, liberty, and terroir.
