Umani Ronchi Casal di Serra is a Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC Classico Superiore from the Marche region of central Italy, first produced in 1983 as one of the earliest "selected" Verdicchio wines. It is made from 100% Verdicchio grapes sourced from hillside vineyards in the Montecarotto area and surrounding plots, situated between 200 and 350 meters above sea level on deep, medium-calcareous clay loam soils. This is a certified organic wine.

The grapes are harvested by hand in late September to early October, then lightly pressed and cold-settled before fermenting in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at 16–18°C for 10–15 days with no malolactic fermentation. The wine ages on its own natural yeasts in steel for approximately five months before bottling in late April, giving it notable richness and complexity while preserving freshness.

In the glass, Casal di Serra shows a straw yellow color with golden hints. The nose offers intense aromas of wild flowers alongside yellow-fleshed fruits including peach, apricot, and golden apple. On the palate it is rich and velvety with lively acidity and sapidity balancing its softness, finishing dry, persistent, and intensely fruity. Ideal serving temperature is 12–14°C. Best paired with fish dishes (grilled or oven-cooked), roast white meats, and fresh cheeses.

The wine has earned numerous accolades, including a Wine Spectator 2024 Top 100 selection (2022 vintage), 91 points from James Suckling (2023 vintage), 91 points from Wine Enthusiast, 90 points from Decanter, and multiple Gambero Rosso Berebene quality/price awards.
