Rombauer Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc Carneros is a 100% Sauvignon Blanc sourced from a blend of Sonoma County (73%) and Napa County (27%) fruit. Introduced in 2014 as Rombauer's second white varietal, this wine reflects the cool-climate character of the Carneros appellation, situated at the southern end of Napa and Sonoma valleys, where marine influences from San Pablo Bay preserve natural acidity and freshness.

Fruit is whole-cluster pressed while still cool, then fermented primarily in stainless steel tanks (89%) to retain bright, fresh aromatics, with a small portion fermented in neutral French oak barrels (9%) and concrete tanks (2%) to add subtle texture and complexity. The wine is bottled with a screw cap to preserve its youthful character and is designed to be enjoyed fresh.

On the nose, the wine offers aromas of gooseberry, pear compote, guava, and a touch of straw, with a clean mineral and river stone quality. On the palate it is light and fresh with gentle richness — showing flavors of mangosteen, guava, and tropical citrus alongside a balanced acidity and a long, clean finish. It is more rounded and full-bodied than a typical Sauvignon Blanc, making it approachable for a broad range of palates. Pairs well with seafood, salads, goat cheese, and light pasta dishes.
