Ohishi Whisky is a Japanese rice whisky crafted by Oishi Shuzo, a family-owned distillery founded in 1872 in Kumamoto prefecture, Japan. The distillery is situated near the village of Mizukami, close to the source of the Kuma River — one of the fastest-flowing rivers in Japan, renowned for its exceptional water quality. Six generations of master distillers have refined the craft, with the current expression guided by 6th generation Master Distiller Kazunori Oishi.

Produced using estate-grown rice from the fertile soils surrounding the Kuma River valley, Ohishi Whisky employs traditional koji fermentation techniques passed down through generations. The result is a full-bodied, mellow, and flavorful whisky with deep amber color and aromatic complexity developed through careful cask aging. The distillery offers a range of cask finishes including brandy, sherry, port, sakura, and Islay cask expressions, each imparting distinct character to the spirit.

This 750 ML bottle is sold in a case of 12 at Costco warehouses and represents an accessible entry point into Japanese craft whisky from one of the country's most storied small distilleries.
