DAOU Soul of a Lion is the flagship estate wine from DAOU Vineyards, crafted from grapes grown at DAOU Mountain in the Adelaida District of Paso Robles, California. The wine is a Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant red blend, typically composed of approximately 75–82% Cabernet Sauvignon with Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot completing the blend. Each vintage is aged for 22 months in 100% new French oak, yielding a wine of remarkable depth, structure, and longevity.

In the glass, Soul of a Lion pours a deep, opaque purple-black. The nose opens with intense aromas of lilac, violet, graphite, and tobacco leaf, giving way to dark fruit preserves and fragrant spice.
