Hess Collection Estate "The Lion" is a collection-worthy, single-estate Cabernet Sauvignon sourced exclusively from the Veeder Hills Vineyard on Mount Veeder in Napa Valley. This flagship wine represents the pinnacle of the Hess Collection winemaking program, showcasing the concentrated, structured character that mountain-grown Napa Cabernet is celebrated for worldwide.

The blend is anchored by Cabernet Sauvignon with the addition of Malbec and Petit Verdot, crafting a wine of remarkable depth and complexity. The nose offers opulent aromas of cassis, ripe blackberries, dark cherries, violets, and bay leaves, framed by exotic accents of cedar, chocolate, mulling spices, and sandalwood derived from new French oak aging. On the palate, the wine delivers dense layers of ultra-ripe fruit, dark cocoa, and warm spices, supported by fine, notable tannins and a lengthy, elegant finish. The wine carries an ABV of approximately 14.5%.
