This proprietary red blend from Navarra, Spain, is produced by Bodegas Luis Gurpegui Muga, a historic family winery dating back to the early 20th century. The 2021 vintage earned 92 points from Wine Enthusiast, showcasing rich dark-fruit flavors, forceful tannins, and excellent value.

The wine is dark red-violet in appearance with a bouquet of blackberry, crème brûlée, and clove. On the palate, rich dark-fruit flavors mingle with forceful tannins and notes of caramel, aniseed, clove, and a touch of ground black pepper. A shining note of acidity brightens the lengthy finish. The blend is composed primarily of Garnacha and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.

Bodegas Luis Gurpegui Muga has been devoted to fine winemaking in Rioja and Navarra appellations since the late 19th century. Their vineyards are located in northern Spain along the Ebro River, where Mediterranean and Atlantic climates converge. The winery is currently managed by the fifth generation of the Fernández de Manzanos family.
