Jose Cuervo Tradicional Reposado is a 100% blue agave tequila produced by the historic Cuervo family at their estate in the Jalisco (Los Valles) region of Mexico. The recipe traces back to 1795, making it one of the oldest tequila traditions in the world. Each bottle is individually numbered, with the number of años (years) on the label indicating the year of production relative to 1795.

Made from Tequilana Weber blue agave, the piñas are slow-cooked in stone or clay ovens, then crushed using a roller mill. The juice is fermented in stainless steel tanks without fibers and double-distilled in copper pot stills before being rested in oak barrels to achieve the reposado classification. The tequila is bottled at 38–40% ABV (76–80 proof).

The nose offers cooked agave, black pepper, vanilla, oak, cinnamon, and caramel, with hints of citrus and smoke. On the palate, flavors of cooked agave, black pepper, oak, and vanilla come forward, complemented by touches of caramel and cinnamon. The finish carries a subtle earthiness balanced by lingering vanilla. Versatile enough to be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or as the foundation for classic cocktails such as the margarita or paloma.
