Les Hauts de Barville Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a red wine from the Southern Rhône Valley of France, produced by Maison Brotte, a family estate with roots in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation dating back to 1931. The estate holds Terra Vitis sustainability certification. This full-bodied Châteauneuf-du-Pape AOC red is a classic Southern Rhône blend, typically composed of approximately 70% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre, and 5% Cinsault.
The wine offers aromas of ripe mulberry, wild strawberry, black cherry, cassis, licorice, cedar, and Provençal garrigue — the dried Mediterranean herbs characteristic of the appellation. On the palate it is full-bodied and velvety with ripe fruit, sweet spice, and earthy undertones. The finish is long and elegant with refined tannins and well-integrated acidity. Recent vintages have received scores in the range of 91–92 points from critics including Jeb Dunnuck and James Suckling. Alcohol content is 14% ABV.
