Hacienda Monasterio is one of Spain's most acclaimed estates, founded in 1991 in the Ribera del Duero denomination of origin by renowned winemaker Peter Sisseck, the visionary behind the legendary Pingus. Situated in the village of Pesquera de Duero in Castilla y León, the estate comprises over 60 hectares of old-vine Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) plantings, with additional varietals including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Malbec grown on high-altitude clay and limestone soils.
The wine is vinified with meticulous attention to terroir expression, with grapes hand-harvested and aged in a combination of French and American oak barrels. The result is a full-bodied red wine marked by deep ruby color, complex aromas of ripe black cherry, plum, cedar, and subtle spice, with a structured palate featuring velvety tannins, bright acidity, and a long, elegant finish. This 750ML bottle is ideal for pairing with roasted lamb, grilled beef, aged cheeses, and hearty stews.
