Zuccardi Concreto Malbec is a premium Argentine red wine produced by Familia Zuccardi from 100% Malbec grapes sourced from select high-altitude vineyards with chalky, stony soils in Paraje Altamira, Uco Valley, Mendoza. The "Concreto" name reflects the wine's defining production philosophy: fermented and aged entirely in concrete vessels with no new oak, no fining, and no filtration—a technique that preserves pure fruit expression, natural acidity, and deep mineral character.
The wine displays a deep red color with violet hues and offers an expressive, perfumed nose of red and dark fruits, violets, balsamic notes, iodine, and fresh herbal character. On the palate it is full-bodied, long, and precise, with fine-grained tannins, a distinctive chalky mineral texture, and an elegantly refined finish that balances crystalline minerality with weightless power.
Familia Zuccardi is a three-generation family winery founded in Mendoza in 1963 by Alberto Zuccardi. Under the leadership of Sebastian Zuccardi, third generation, the family pioneered a deep focus on the Uco Valley terroir and opened a celebrated new winery in Paraje Altamira in 2016. The winery employs sustainable and organic farming practices, gravity-fed production, and concrete vessels as natural thermal insulators, reflecting a philosophy of minimal intervention and site-driven winemaking. Consistently rated 92–96 points by major critics including Wine Advocate, James Suckling, and Wine Spectator.
