The Seiko Prospex SSC509 is a men's solar-powered world time chronograph watch featuring a 42mm stainless steel case with a cream/white dial and brown alligator grain leather strap. It is powered by the Seiko Caliber V195 solar quartz movement, which recharges when exposed to light and provides a 6-month power reserve when fully charged, eliminating the need for battery changes. A power reserve indicator at the 12 o'clock position displays remaining charge status.

The watch includes a 25-city world time function with hour and minute display, a chronograph that measures up to 24 hours in 1/5 second increments with split time measurement, a daily alarm, and a date calendar at the 4 o'clock position.
