Château Gaudrelle Clos le Vigneau is a dry to off-dry white wine from the Vouvray appellation in the Loire Valley of France. Made from 100% Chenin Blanc sourced from a 5-hectare single-vineyard parcel named "Clos le Vigneau," with vines planted in 1929 and farmed using sustainable practices including horse-drawn cultivation to preserve soil structure.

The wine is hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel with two rackings and light filtration before bottling. It is aged on the lees for several months with no oak contact, preserving the natural minerality and freshness of the grape. The soil is a blend of clay, limestone, silex, and gravel, giving the wine a characteristic wet-stone quality. ABV is 12.5%.

Aromas and flavors include yellow apple, dried lemon peel, bruised Anjou pear, bread dough, and wet stone, with a limestone-dusted acidity providing a refreshing finish. The wine pairs well with seafood, poultry, and salads, and is capable of aging gracefully for 5 to 7 years or more.
