Jehan Emonin Pinot Noir Bourgogne is a classic red Burgundy from Domaine Vincent Bouzereau, a family estate with winemaking heritage dating back to the 16th century in Meursault. The label is named in honor of Vincent Bouzereau's grandfather and reflects ten generations of dedication to Burgundian winemaking tradition.
The estate manages 24.7 acres of sustainably farmed Côte de Beaune vineyards, with Meursault at the core. Grapes are handpicked only at peak maturity, and winemaking follows traditional methods: native yeast fermentation and aging 16 to 18 months in oak, with 25–30% new oak for village wines. This 100% Pinot Noir showcases elegant aromatics of wild raspberries, chocolate biscuits, and rosemary stems on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied and fresh, with savory, lightly salty character and crunchy tannins. Ripe orchard fruits, citrus, and a hint of almond round out the profile, with silky texture, mineral depth, and a long, balanced finish.
The 2022 vintage earned a score of 90 from James Suckling and was lauded by Decanter as a "very high quality vintage for red Burgundy." Pairs well with chicken, pasta, and steak.
