Jäkel is a bold and complex tart cherry mead crafted by Lost Cause Meadery in San Diego, California. This 375ml bottle contains a reimagined tribute to the meadery's award-winning "Devilish Grin" mead, the original recipient of their very first Mazer Cup International medal.

Jäkel is made with Montmorency tart cherries, black pepper, and radish blossom honey sourced from Oregon. The result is a rich, layered sipping mead with a dark complexity that remains surprisingly approachable. It clocks in at 12% ABV and is sold in cases of 12 bottles.

Lost Cause Meadery was founded in 2017 by Billy and Suzanna Beltz. Billy is a national and international award-winning mead maker who earned over 35 medals in three years of competition, including four medals from the Mazer Cup International, the world's largest mead competition. His mead-making research has been published in Zymurgy Magazine and American Mead Maker, and he is a BJCP Certified Mead Judge.
