Martell Cordon Bleu is a legendary XO cognac created in 1912, representing a masterpiece of French cognac craftsmanship from the historic Martell house established in 1715. This 1.0-liter bottle contains cognac made with eaux-de-vie aged between 10 and 25 years, with a rich amber color and complex character.
The cognac features a distinctive semi-sweet bouquet that opens with time to reveal deeper aromas of honeydew melon, cantaloupe, roasted almonds, and apple butter. The preponderance of eaux-de-vie from the Borderies growth area gives Cordon Bleu its exceptionally deep, mellow character with fine floral notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied, generous, and sweet with an elegant richness that showcases spicy fruit notes, cocoa, and dried apricot flavors balanced by vanilla and oak undertones.
The finish is extended, smoky, and luscious, making this cognac ideal for special occasions. Best enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or with a splash of water to open up the complex flavors. This premium spirit has earned numerous accolades including IWSC Gold Medal Winner recognition and continues to be celebrated as an international symbol of cognac excellence.
