El Tesoro Reposado is a premium 100% agave tequila produced in the Jalisco Los Altos region of Mexico using traditional methods. The blue weber agave is cooked in stone brick ovens and crushed using a tahona, a massive volcanic stone wheel weighing around two tons. The production process includes open-air fermentation in wooden tanks with wild yeasts and fibers, followed by double distillation in copper pot stills. This reposado is aged nine to eleven months in ex-bourbon American oak barrels that have been stripped of their char, allowing direct interaction with the raw wood.

The tequila offers a rich and nuanced tasting experience. On the nose, aromas of smoky oak, grilled fruits, vanilla, dill, citrus, and orange blossom honey emerge. The palate is juicy and fruity with prominent agave flavor, complemented by light smoke, butterscotch, toasted oak, pepper, and caramel notes. The finish is smooth, lightly smoky, and spicy. El Tesoro Reposado is exceptionally well-rested compared to typical reposado tequilas, which legally require only two months of aging. It can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or in premium cocktails like a Tequila Sunrise.
