Highland Park 12 Year Old is a distinguished single malt Scotch whisky from the Orkney Islands, established in 1798 as one of Scotland's oldest distilleries. This expression is matured for 12 years in hand-selected, first-fill sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks, which deliver its signature spicy-sweet character and mellow warmth.

The whisky presents a natural golden amber color derived entirely from the cask without additives. On the nose, it offers fresh, clean floral notes with heathered honey, Seville oranges, and a touch of citrus. The palate reveals sweet and spicy layers with toasty burnt orange, jasmine, spiced fruitcake, and rich malt. The finish is long and complex, featuring peppery spice, woody notes, orange zest, and the subtle aromatic kick of smoke from Orkney's heathered peat. Bottled at 40-43% ABV depending on market.

The whisky uses 100% malted barley, with the malt dried over Orkney's signature aromatic peat, creating a balanced profile that's less intense than heavily peated Islay malts. Additional refill casks round out the powerful notes from first-fill casks, resulting in a classic, versatile whisky.
