Bollinger La Grande Année is the prestige vintage cuvée from Maison Bollinger, produced only in exceptional harvest years from Grand and Premier Cru grapes. This champagne is vinified exclusively in small aged oak barrels, a rare traditional method that develops aromas of great finesse through micro-oxygenation and provides extraordinary aging potential. The 1.5L magnum format contains champagne that has been aged for over twice the time required by appellation standards, sealed with natural cork, and is riddled and disgorged entirely by hand.

The 2015 vintage is a blend of 60% Pinot Noir from prestigious crus including Verzenay, Aÿ, and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, combined with 40% Chardonnay from Chouilly and Avize. The wine displays yellow gold reflections and presents aromas of stone fruits, Mirabelle plum, honey, blackberry, blackcurrant, cherry, raspberry, almond, mango, vanilla, and delicate woody notes. On the palate, it is plump, generous, and enticing with flavors reminiscent of Mirabelle plum jam, chocolate, and citrus fruits, finishing with hints of schist minerality.

This gastronomic champagne pairs beautifully with flame-cooked lamb, langoustine ravioli with foie gras and porcini mushrooms, Mediterranean sea bass, meat dishes, mushrooms, nuts, and red berries. Serve between 8-10°C for optimal enjoyment. The wine can be enjoyed immediately or aged further in a cellar.
