Saint-Aubin 1er Cru "En La Ranchée" is a Premier Cru white Burgundy from the southern Côte de Beaune, produced by Domaine Philippe Girard. Made from 100% Chardonnay, the wine comes from an approximately one-hectare parcel planted at a density of 10,000 vines per hectare on sloped, east-facing terrain with limestone soils. The vines average 20 years old.

The wine is crafted through complete destemming, gentle pressing, settling, and alcoholic fermentation in tanks over 8 to 10 days. It then ages 8 to 10 months in oak barrels, incorporating 20 to 30% new oak, which lends subtle structure while preserving freshness and aromatic clarity.

In the glass, it presents a golden color with aromas of white flowers, flint, green almond, and orange blossom. The palate is firm and well-structured. It pairs beautifully with grilled fish and shellfish, osso buco, and lamb shoulder.
