Hoopes Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley is a small-production wine from a family-owned operation with vineyard roots dating to 1981. Fruit is sourced from a ten-acre plot in the prestigious Oakville appellation, neighboring the legendary To Kalon vineyard. The wine is guided by second-generation Proprietor Lindsay Hoopes and Winemaker Anne Vawter, a protege of the acclaimed Heidi Barrett, who marries old-world farming principles with new-world fruit ripeness.

This Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a gorgeous nose of black licorice and nutmeg with hints of freshly split vanilla bean. Great acidity and a soft, velvety approach carry the palate through layers of dark fruit, plum, fennel, roasted mushrooms, dried cherries, and earthy complexity. The 2019 vintage earned 93 points from critic Jeb Dunnuck, who called it "a stunning value" with red and black fruits, iris, violets, and spice on a medium to full-bodied frame. Sold as a case of 12 x 750ml bottles.
