Elouan Pinot Noir is an Oregon red wine crafted by winemaker Joseph Wagner, known for his work at Caymus Vineyards. This approachable Pinot Noir blends fruit sourced from three distinct Oregon growing regions — the Northwestern valleys (including Willamette Valley), the West-Central Hills, and Southwestern Oregon — each contributing its own character to the final blend. The result is a wine with notable versatility, vibrant acidity, and soft structure that reflects Oregon's diverse terroir.
The wine pours a pale ruby in the glass with aromas of juicy berry fruit, baking spice, and a hint of clove. On the palate it is medium-bodied and fresh, with flavors of cherry, raspberry, and a touch of cranberry supported by refined tannins and a bright, clean finish. It earned 89 points from CostcoWineBlog and is well regarded as an excellent value in the under-$20 Oregon Pinot Noir category. Alcohol is 13.7%.
Sold at Costco in a 12-bottle case format (12/750ml), this wine pairs well with a wide range of foods including salmon, roasted chicken, mushroom dishes, and charcuterie.
