Château Blaignan Grand Vin de Bordeaux is a classic red wine from the Médoc appellation on the Left Bank of Bordeaux, France. Sold at Costco in a case of 12 x 750 mL bottles, this wine carries the Cru Bourgeois classification and is crafted from a blend of approximately 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Merlot, and 9% Cabernet Franc, aged for 14 to 16 months in vats and oak barrels.
The wine displays an intense ruby color with a fruity nose of pronounced blackcurrant, black cherry, and a hint of spice. On the palate it is full-bodied with well-integrated, velvety tannins and notes of oak, vanilla, leather, and earthy undertones. The finish is structured and savory. It is approachable in its youth but also suitable for cellaring several years. Alcohol content is 14%. Contains sulfites.
Pairs excellently with beef, lamb, poultry, and game such as venison.
