Venge Vineyards Scout's Honor is a proprietary red blend from Napa Valley, California, first produced in 1996 and dedicated in memory of Scout, a beloved yellow Labrador Retriever. This fruit-forward blend is led by old-vine Zinfandel and rounded out with dry-farmed Petite Sirah, old-vine Charbono, and mountain vineyard Syrah, typically composed of approximately 76% Zinfandel, 14% Charbono, 8% Petite Sirah, and 2% Syrah.

Fruit was destemmed into a combination of stainless steel tanks and open-top fermenters, where whole-berry fermentation took place for an average of 20 days. The wine was then barrel aged for 14 months in 50% new American Oak and the balance in once-used tight-grain French Oak.

The wine delivers jammy blackberry, cherry, and currant flavors that finish with notes of chocolate and spice, supported by hearty tannins. It pairs well with slow-cooked meat stews and barbecue.
