Vilafonte "Seriously Old Dirt" is a Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant red blend from the Paarl appellation of South Africa's Coastal Region. The wine is crafted by Vilafonte, a boutique winery celebrated for producing Bordeaux-style blends from South African terroir, with this cuvée sourced from old bush vines and aged for 12 to 18 months before bottling.

The blend is composed primarily of Cabernet Sauvignon with small additions of Merlot, Malbec, and Cabernet Franc. The 2021 vintage earned 91 points from Wine Advocate, described as ripe, herbal, and spicy with notes of turned earth, dark cherry, and spiced plum. It presents a medium-bodied, savory, and fresh palate with excellent value at its price point. The 2022 vintage features a slightly different composition of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Malbec, 2% Merlot, and 1% Cabernet Franc, with tasting notes of blackcurrants, mint chocolate, blueberries, and nutmeg, finishing with a ripe and velvety texture. Alcohol by volume is approximately 13.5%.
