Château Fleur Cardinale is a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé red Bordeaux wine from the prestigious Right Bank of Bordeaux, France. This six-pack of 750ml bottles features a blend typically composed of 75% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Franc, and 8% Cabernet Sauvignon, though proportions may vary by vintage.
The estate is owned by the Decoster family, who purchased it in 2001 and undertook extensive renovations. The 23.5-hectare vineyard is situated on dark red clay over limestone soil in the Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse sector, east of the Saint-Émilion village, with vines averaging 30 years of age and some Merlot plantings reaching 70 years old. The vineyard achieved 100% organic certification in 2024.
The wine is vinified in small thermoregulated stainless steel vats on a parcel-by-parcel basis and aged in 90% new French oak barrels for 12 to 15 months. Tasting notes across recent vintages highlight chocolate-covered black cherries, plums, licorice, espresso, and smoky complexity. Rich, full-bodied, and lush, this wine pairs beautifully with classic meat dishes, game, roasted poultry, Asian cuisine, and rich fish courses. Best enjoyed with 6 to 9 years of aging, it can reach peak maturity between 8 and 22 years after vintage.
