Attems Pinot Grigio is a classic white wine from the DOC Friuli appellation in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region of northeastern Italy. Produced by the historic Attems estate — whose viticultural heritage dates to 1106 and is now part of the renowned Frescobaldi family — this wine is crafted from 100% Pinot Grigio grapes grown on south-facing terraced slopes in the Province of Gorizia, just 15 kilometres from the Adriatic coast.

The vineyards, averaging 20 years of age, sit on a mosaic of three soils: Eocene sandstone, naturally moist clay-rich earth, and deep pebbly ground. Grapes are hand-harvested and gently pressed, with juice decanted for 24–48 hours before low-temperature fermentation primarily in stainless steel tanks with 10% in barriques, followed by aging on noble lees. The result is a wine that is elegantly aromatic with notes of lemon peel, citrus, melon, tropical fruit, orange blossom, and honey, with a textured, medium-bodied palate, fresh acidity, and a long, dry, mineral finish.

This Pinot Grigio pairs beautifully with simply prepared white fish, light pasta dishes, seafood antipasti, and fresh cheeses.
