The Catena Appellation Lunlunta Malbec is a premium Argentine red wine produced by Bodega Catena Zapata, one of Argentina's most celebrated wineries. Sourced from old vine Malbec grown in Lunlunta, a renowned subzone within the Luján de Cuyo district of Mendoza, this wine showcases the terroir of alluvial soils rich in clay and gravel at approximately 920 meters above sea level. The elevation and cool nights preserve natural acidity and vibrant fruit character while delivering the smooth, full texture Lunlunta is known for.

The wine presents a deep violet color with purple reflections. On the nose, it offers concentrated aromas of ripe red and dark fruits with traces of vanilla and mocha. The palate is rich and concentrated, with flavors of blueberries and blackberries complemented by notes of leather and cinnamon. The finish is long and elegant, with well-integrated supple tannins and a flinty minerality. Aged six to eight months in barrel (approximately 40% new oak), with full malolactic fermentation.
